IDenticard^® is a Schlumberger Associate for smart cards and network security systems. Smart cards are plastic cards with an embedded integrated circuit (IC) chip. The chip stores information to be used in numerous applications, including banking & retail, health care, network access, parking and payphones.

In debit systems, users realize additional security because smart card terminals produce a cashless environment, automatically deducting amounts from the value loaded on the chip. Moreover, smart cards used in network security systems protect sensitive computer data from access by unauthorized personnel.

IDenticard^® blends smart card technology with photo identification technology, including video imaging systems, magnetic stripes and bar codes. The combined systems create photo ID badges to be used in security identification, access control and network security systems. Additionally, they may be used in electronic cash and financial transactions, as well as in payroll, inventory management and other applications.

As a corporate partner, IDenticard makes an annual contribution to the Renaissance Scholarship Fund. The amount of the contribution is determined by our annual sales to the school marketplace: A percentage of every sale to schools K-12 is donated to the scholarship fund.
